At the beginning of this year, few people believed it possible that equity issuance in Asia ex-Japan would be able match the $125 billion raised in 2006 when ICBC brought its record-breaking IPO. But with $85 billion worth of deals already completed, according to Dealogic or $94.7 billion if you include A-shares, that record is looking less and less daunting.
