Sidley Austin relocates one partner, appoints another

International law firm shifts Allen Kim to Hong Kong and promotes Jason Elder in the same office.

International law firm Sidley Austin has relocated partner Allen C. Kim to its Hong Kong offices after 15 years of United States-based practice. In a move to boost the firm's dispute resolution efforts, Kim will shift from its Los Angeles offices, bringing experience in complex litigation and international arbitration.

In recent times, Kim has handled international arbitration and litigation matters for the LG group companies, Samsung group companies and General Electric. On top of these high-profile clients, Kim also brings broad experience with Korean conglomerates, Korean financial institutions and Korean governmet agencies to SidleyÆs Hong Kong offices.

His arrival in Hong Kong will bolster the firm's dispute resolution practice headcount here to nine and comes...
