Bank of America appoints Mukesh Ambani as director

Mukesh Ambani becomes the first non-American on the board of directors of Bank of America.

Bank of America has appointed Mukesh Ambani, chairman and managing director of India-based Reliance Industries, as a director on its board. He will stand for election at Bank of America’s annual shareholder meeting.

Ambani, who is 53, is the first foreigner to join the BoA board. Bank of America's shareholders will benefit from the global perspective Ambani brings to our board, said Charles Holliday, Bank of America’s chairman.
