HSBC has created a new senior position within its global payments and cash management team for Asia-Pacific. Shayan Hazir has been appointed the new head of business banking for Asia-Pacific, effective immediately. Hazir’s appointment follows the bank’s announcement of a new head of trade and supply chain in Malaysia last week and, according to the bank, shows their commitment to supporting small and medium-size enterprises SMEs in Asia.
