CCB International Securities CCBIS, the brokerage arm of China Construction Bank's investment banking unit CCB International, has appointed Paul Schulte as its global head of financial strategy and Asian bank research.
Schulte will be based in Hong Kong and will cover regional banks and help to integrate sovereign credit, fixed income and currency views into the firm's newly established equity research platform.
Having engaged in equity research for more than 20 years, Schulte was most recently with Nomura International, where, as a managing director, he served as head of multi-strategy and Asia-Pacific bank research. Prior to that he was chief equity strategist for Asia ex-Japan at Lehman Brothers.
