Deutsche Bank appoints new head of Asia-Pacific equity research

Guy Ashton changes focus from Europe and the Middle East to Asia-Pacific û a region which Deutsche Bank expects will be the world's fastest growing in the medium-term.

Deutsche Bank has announced the appointment of Guy Ashton as head of equity research for Asia-Pacific.

Ashton will take up the role with immediate effect and will be based in Hong Kong. He will report to David Folkerts-Landau, global head of research, and to Boon Chye Loh, head of global markets in Asia. Ashton replaces Tim Andrew, who has left the bank.

Ashton was previously Deutsche Bank's head of research for Europe, the Middle East and Africa and is a member of the global equity trading executive committee. Prior to joining Deutsche Bank in 2003, he was with HSBC, first as head of Asia research based in Hong Kong and later as head of...
